A Course In Miracles
This is a course in miracles. It is a required course. Only
the time you take it is voluntary. Free will does not mean
that you can establish the curriculum. It means only that
you can elect what you want to take at a given time. The course
does not aim at teaching the meaning of love, for that is
beyond what can be taught. It does aim, however, at removing
the blocks to the awareness of love's presence, which is your
natural inheritance. The opposite of love is fear, but what
is all-encompassing can have no opposite.
This course can therefore be summed up very
simply in this way:
Nothing real can be threatened.
Nothing unreal exists.
Herein lies the peace of God.
The Public Domain Version
of "A Course In Miracles"
I will do some research on the history of ACIM adn also the Public
domian legal issues for general reference purposes. WHile respecting
the Foundation of Inner Peace for all its work and effort, I also
greatly appreciate the miracle that versions of ACIM is now public
domain and the information can be used freely and hope that it
is used in the spirit of truth and healing that it was intended
for.
I
ran a daily ACIM email list for a group that I helped to facilitate
at the Unity Church in Boulder. This was basically a private list
for just my ACIM group (about 100) and friends and family. I would
just get up almost every day, type in the acim lesson for the
day, and then write a little bit. Then I put a link on my web
site to make it easier for the next year's students to join. This
also gave people who visited my www.hologram.net
web site to also sign up. I have quite a few people from around
the world who enjoyed this little tidbits. then one day I got
a legal letter from the foundation of inner peace asking me to
take their logo off my site (which was just a link to Amazon to
sell their version) and to quite sending out portions of the lesson.
It was infringing on their copyright. I did explain that it was
generally just a private list, and that I wasn't "copying"
the whole lesson.... they let it slide. I kept up with the list,
then automated it to read online, but then stopped facilitating
a few years ago and haven't change the web site in a while.
